About Me

With over four decades of experience in the field of psychology, I bring a rich tapestry of expertise and insight to my work.

For the past 20 years, I have been engaged in private practice, offering counselling services to individual clients, couples, and, on occasion, extended family members. My practice has addressed a diverse array of psychological issues, reflective of the varied backgrounds and needs of my clients.

My earlier career spanning two decades offered me invaluable exposure to various organisational settings, significantly enriching my current practice.

My career experience and positions include:
  • I served as a school psychologist in the Tasmanian and Victorian Education Systems, where I collaborated with children, parents, and educators.
  • I assumed the role of a Family Court Counsellor within the Family Court of Australia, operating in both the Melbourne and Hobart Registries.
  • My work has extended to the training of professionals in the areas of drug and alcohol rehabilitation and disability support.
  • I have lectured on topics of psychology, counselling, and management at esteemed institutions such as Monash University and various TAFE Colleges.
  • My involvement in industry has included management training and the development of Employee Assistance Programmes.
In addition to my professional experience, my personal journey — with its own challenges, dramas, and emotional highs and lows — has provided me with a profound sense of empathy and understanding. Life, indeed, has been my most enlightening tutor.
Qualifications:
  • BA with majors in Psychology and Philosophy (University of Tasmania)
